Membership is open to all Malaysian citizens and non-citizens living in
Malaysia, aged 18 and over. Membership is divided into five types:
1) Professionals 2) Ordinary Members 3) Corporate Members 4) Members of Veterans 5) Life Member 6) Student Member 1) Professional Member : Individuals, who are actively involved in the field and related Arboriculturist including scientists, educators, administrators or managers, and anyone interested in the management tree. Applicants must have experience of at least 5 years in Arboriculturist and related fields. 2) Ordinary Members: Persons interested in the management tree. 3) Corporate Member : Open to commercial firms and organizations with three nominees who wish to support the goals, objectives and welfare MSA and wish to make a donation. 4) The Veteran: Open to members who have retired (55 years) and has been a professional for 10 years previously with a good performance. 5) Life Member: Regular members who paid the fees of 1000.00 with a single payment only.] 6) Student Members: Limited to students who are enrolled full-time for at least 2 years in Arboriculturist, urban forest, forestry, landscape, botanical, agricultural institutions is recognized at the certificate or higher. Every application for membership shall fill in the form provided with the registration money and fees for one year and must be proposed and seconded by a member. Applications from students must be accompanied by a copy of the student card. Applications must be sent to the Secretary-General and the Secretary-General shall submit the application as soon as possible to the Council for approval. Each applicant whose application has been approved as of the above must pay a registration fee and an annual fee as set first accepted as a member of the Association and is entitled to the privilege of being a member. Each member is encouraged to be a member of the International Society of Arboriculture (International Society of Arboriculture)
